Celebrate National Biscuit Month!

I always look forward to September for a number of reasons: the weather starts to cool down, fall is on its way, pumpkin-flavored treats start to pop up…the list goes on and on. Now I have yet another reason to celebrate this month: September is National Biscuit Month!

Everyone loves biscuits. I’m not sure that it is physically possible to turn down a fluffy biscuit that has just come out of the oven, especially if it is topped with a pat of butter, a drizzle a honey, or a spoonful of creamy sausage gravy.

Possibly the best biscuit attribute that comes to mind is that they are budget-friendly. All you need is a bit of flour or biscuit mix, some buttermilk, sour cream, or lard, and you’re in biscuit-making business! Below you will find our favorite Southern biscuit recipes, including both classic recipes and recipes that put a twist on the traditional biscuit. These recipes will really help you celebrate National Biscuit Month in Style.

National Biscuit Month
