When it comes to budget-friendly meals and ingredients, you really can’t beat cabbage. Seriously though. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of cabbage being a “high class” dish or ingredient. Ever. It’s so easy to come by and it’s even easier to cook with.
Obviously, just because it’s not considered “high class” doesn’t mean it makes for bland dishes. I’m just saying that cabbage is no caviar and, honestly, I prefer it that way.
Have you ever really stopped to think of all of the things that you can make with cabbage? Really though. I can’t even begin to count how many different cabbage casserole recipes I’ve tasted in my life. And then there are so many simple cabbage soup recipes, cabbage roll recipes, and other dishes that I can’t even think of at the moment.
Oh, I almost forgot about corned beef and cabbage recipes too! St. Patrick’s Day pretty much revolves around that specific dish (or, at least I like to think so because I always think of holidays in terms of food…).
Anyway, cabbage. It’s the best. Buy it, eat it, enjoy it. Here are a few cabbage recipes that are sure to please anyone and everyone who tries them! 🙂
