The funny thing about social media is we find out how much we have in common. A week ago I saw a photo of some Country Crock butter containers shared on Facebook, with a comment like “At Grandma’s house, it could be butter or it could be leftovers.” So many people jumped at the chance to relate to that memory! It’s not something that would often come up in conversation. It’s funny to see these odd things that remind us of our youth.

Between my house, my grandma’s, great grandma’s, & some aunts & uncles, I probably seen most during my “growing up days”
Those dishes – I have the blue and gray version (Yorktown), that I still use today! My parents gave me a set for Christmas before I got married 34 years ago. I’ve replaced pieces (from antique shops and yard sales), but I’ve never owned another pattern for everyday dishes!
And I’m sure I’ve had an iron like that!
I still have and use the iron. It just won’t stop working! I don’t have the heart to throw it out and get a new one when it is working just as good as a new one.
