Candy corn is one of the most iconic candies, and I love to use them as a theme for decorations made with all sorts of materials. I happen to have a bunch of colored pencils, and the yellow, orange and white were the perfect colors to make a candy corn decoration.
I found an outline image of a candy corn simply by searching “candy corn outline.” I printed it out to use as a template for my candy corn pencil art.
I used a Dremel Moto Saw to cut my pencils to each size, but I’m sure a hand saw would work just fine.
I painted an 8 x 10 Waverly wood frame white and cut a piece of spiderweb scrapbook paper to fit in the frame.
I laid out the pencil candy corn centered in the frame and used craft items to mark the top and bottom temporarily.
I then used a tape runner to adhere the pencils to the paper. Try making this project with crayons, markers or other craft supplies that come in white, yellow and orange.
When the season is over, you can simply pop off the pencils and back they go into your craft supply stash!
Happy Halloween!
