Trend Alert: Woodland Creature Crafts!

February 17, 2015 by FaveCrafts

Woodland creatures are all the rage lately in the crafting world (and in pretty much every other world, come to think of it). Everywhere I look, I see easy crochet patterns centered around foxes or fun owl printable paper crafts. They’re all just so cute!

Cute FoxOh, and have I mentioned that I’m obsessed with these woodland creatures and nature crafts? Because I am. They’re so cute and give off a very home-y vibe. Plus, foxes are one of my favorite animals of all time so every time I see an easy craft project that has to do with a fox, I pretty much stop whatever I’m doing and make it. Also, it takes pretty much all of my will-power to keep me from buying gorgeous woodland creature trinkets from Etsy. Seriously, though.

Another thing I like about woodland creatures and nature crafts is that they add a lot to the atmosphere of a room and remind me of how much I love being outside. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and while my area isn’t 100% urban with no nature areas anywhere, I can’t just walk out of my house and into a forest. I have to drive five minutes to the nearest forest preserve (which is located along a busy street) which is really unfortunate because I find forests and more rural areas to be so comforting and peaceful. More than that, seeing my favorite woodland animals in the forest always makes my days 100% better. By making woodland crafts (especially ones involving woodland creatures), I’m able to bring everything I love about nature and forests into my home.

I’m thinking that a lot of other people feel the same way that I do because of the sudden popularity nature crafts and woodland creature projects. If you’re like me (and a large majority of the crafting community) and you love these kinds of woodland crafts, below are a few of the woodland creatures I currently have on my to-make list.

Being a football fan can get expensive, whether you’re decorating for game day or wearing your team’s swag. Why is a regular t-shirt $10-20, but a sports-related shirt can be $30-50? Even at Wal-Mart, the price tags for sporty stuff can be shocking. However, there’s a way you can enjoy your team without spending a […]
